What We Believe in

» We believe that the Holy Spirit worked with the Father and the Son to create the world. The Father gave His Spirit to make us like His Son, Jesus Christ. The Jesus Christ we know is Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. He made a wonderful promise in John 14:16-17: "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever -- the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you."
The Holy Spirit is to be with us forever. He is not known or received by everyone, but only by those who are prepared for Him. The Holy Spirit shows us how wrong our sins are. He helps us to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour. He completely changes our lives. This is called being converted or born again. READ MORE...

Bible Reading for Week

Luke 21:31 (KJV) So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

Why are you a Christian? Why do you believe in the word of God? What is your ultimate goal for following Christ? Do you believe there is the kingdom of God? Jesus gave a list of things to watch for prior to his coming back. He then goes on to say, the generation that sees these things come to pass, must be on alert; knowing that the kingdom of God is at hand. It is very sad, how the focus of the church in this same generation Jesus spoke about, has shifted to having a kingdom on this earth. The Church to a large extent believes in earthly wealth more that the kingdom of God: It is clear by what they spend most time preaching about. When was the last time you went to church and heard, the kingdom of God or heaven is at hand? When was the last time you had a convention or revival in church with the purpose being about the kingdom of God being at hand? A few days ago, someone asked me if the pastors of our time watch the news; and if they do, is the holy spirit not in them to draw their attention? Well, your guess is as good as mine: it is all about money, driving the thoughts of most church leaders, so even if an angel visits them to warn about the times, they won't change their sermons nor the seeking of money to expand their earthly kingdoms. Is it not worrying that, now church members are more inclined to heavenly things than their leaders? The sheep are well informed about the times we live in than the shepherds. The sheep are working out their salvation, whilst their shepherds are telling them something else: how to be blessed, how to prosper, how to get favour, how to be a leader, how to be a winner, how to be a champion, how to walk in wealth, etc.

May we not forget that the kingdom of God is indeed at hand. Have a blessed day.

*Prayer:* Ask God to give you the wisdom to live to please him daily.
