What We Believe in

» We believe that the Holy Spirit worked with the Father and the Son to create the world. The Father gave His Spirit to make us like His Son, Jesus Christ. The Jesus Christ we know is Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. He made a wonderful promise in John 14:16-17: "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever -- the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you."
The Holy Spirit is to be with us forever. He is not known or received by everyone, but only by those who are prepared for Him. The Holy Spirit shows us how wrong our sins are. He helps us to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour. He completely changes our lives. This is called being converted or born again. READ MORE...

Bible Reading for Week

Revelation 3:1 (KJV) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

One of the biggest deceptions in the Church today; is the thinking that works don't matter after being saved by grace. If Jesus says He knows your works, why do you argue with His words? We get saved by grace, but beyond grace are the works. Actually, Jesus never mentions grace in the seven letters to the churches, but kept talking about works. This indeed must be a wake up call, because if the works we do after coming to Christ, is so important to Him, why do we trivialize this serious thing? Could it be that per our works before God, we are dead, yet we are living in Christ? Could it be that our churches are filled with many dead men and women? Could it be that we think we are alive spiritually, but dead according to God's high standards? What are the works Jesus talks about? How we live and what we do for the Lord can all be counted as works. We must check ourselves to see if we are dead men walking around thinking we are alive. Are we doing the works of Him that called us? Are we living for Him daily? If our works are weighed on the heavenly scales, how would it balance out with God's expectations? It is time we get serious with spiritual things. The comfortable lead that we think we have may be a deception, after all. Let us get back to the true Christian living that we first knew, and run from this modern day sweet talks and money sermons. Eternity is drawing closer each day, but are we ready to face it? What works do you have to show, for all these years of calling yourself a Christian? Enough of the zombie Christianity we are so comfortable with.

May we be wise and do the works now because darkness is coming. Have a pleasant weekend and Saturday.

*Prayer:* 1. Forgive me for taking lightly the works you expect me to do for you.
2. Empower me with your Spirit to do the works that please you daily.
